Covid update August 2021

BHS Branch classes and events - precautions due to Covid

The committee intention is that the following precautions will allow us all to feel as confident and comfortable as we can to allow us to dance normally, ie normal sized sets, no masks and hands taken as dictated by the dance.

We request everyone planning to attend classes and social events for the foreseeable future to adhere to the following:

• have been vaccinated twice and have a booster if offered
• do not attend class if feeling unwell
• we recommend taking a lateral flow test before leaving to attend class
• on arrival your temperature will be taken
• bring your own sanitiser, sanitiser will also be available in the halls
• use hand gel and wash hands frequently
• bring your own refreshments
• socially distance when not dancing, to assist everyone to feel comfortable
• follow the direction of the class representative to meet the hall requirements
• aim to bring the correct money for the class fee to reduce handling

In addition we have a risk assessment for the halls we are using where there are still some stipulations that we must all follow as a condition of use, the class representatives will have a copy of this if anyone wishes to see it. These include:

• hall cleaning prior to class and after - class representatives will inform the requirements for your class hall
• one way systems
• ideally one person at a time in the toilet
• plenty of ventilation, open windows and doors - so please remember to bring appropriate layers of clothing
