Class and Teacher Information
Class A with Fiona Mackie
Class A is suitable for people who are familiar with the steps and common
formations. You should be able to assimilate instructions easily as well as
understand the concepts of covering and phrasing.
Fiona has been dancing since the age of four, and has always had a love for
Scottish dance and music. She has danced most of her life in Dundee,
Scotland and she has taught local classes for many years, covering all levels
of class and age, making sure the fun of dancing is enjoyed by everyone. For
the last few years Fiona has been teaching the advanced class in Dundee
Branch. She has also taught in the UK, abroad in Europe and in the US and
Canada. She also teaches at the RSCDS Summer School and Winter School.
Musician for class A Adam Brady
Adam began playing the accordion and piano aged 5 and started playing for
SCD aged 10. He first played for classes in Dundee and now plays for classes
in London. He has played at Summer school for 10 years as well as Winter
School and the AGM weekend.
Class B with Paul Plummer
Class B is suitable for people who have either attended the branch
beginners’ course or have danced with a class or club for several months
and who would appreciate a slower pace class where you are not expected
to know all the common formations.
Paul has been a SCD teacher for 40 years, teaching all ages and abilities. He
has taught throughout the UK, overseas and at the RSCDS Summer and
Winter Schools.
Please Note
Please wear SCD shoes for the classes or soft shoes/trainers.
It would be appreciated if you would bring your own cup or water bottle.
