About the Branch
The Berkshire/Hampshire/Surrey Border Branch was set up to complement the existing clubs in the area by providing a focal point and offering facilities such as graded classes, teacher training, instruction and day schools.
The Branch covers a wide area centred on Camberley, encompassing parts of Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. This area enjoys an active programme of dancing events. The affiliated clubs in the area and the Branch organise their own events which are dovetailed to suit the local dancing calendar.
Each year the Branch runs a Day School, a Ball, an Open-air Summer Dance, an Autumn Social, and a Christmas Social. The Branch runs a weekly General/Intermediate Class in Frimley, a regular Advanced Class in Finchampstead, and a Beginners class, according to demand. A Children’s class is also run in the area (independently of the Branch).
Branch members benefit from the association with the RSCDS, and they receive the ‘Branch News’ which gives news and views from the Branch and details of forthcoming functions. The Branch Shop carries a stock of CDs, books and other items for dancers.
